Certified Water Sommelier-Fine Water Academy - Certificate, August 6th, 2026-2050Biography
From an early age, I developed an unusual sensitivity to water, often able to distinguish between different waters and recognize familiar brands by taste. This natural curiosity later expanded through my work with tea and coffee. As a certified Q Grader, tea sommelier, and barista, I became deeply interested in how water influences aroma, flavor, texture, and the overall sensory experience. After years of tasting and experimentation, I studied with Michael Mascha and became a certified Water Sommelier, gaining a deeper understanding of water’s origin, mineral composition, terroir, and sensory character, as well as the growing global culture of Fine Water.
In China, Fine Water is still an emerging concept, with few restaurant water menus and limited access to waters from around the world. As a Water Sommelier, I see it as both an opportunity and a responsibility to help change the perception that water is simply water. By combining my sensory expertise with strong communication skills, I aim to work with producers, hospitality professionals, and companies to introduce Fine Water to a wider Chinese audience through education, curated tastings, and meaningful water experiences—inviting more people to discover water as an expression of origin, character, culture, and epicurean pleasure.
