With a history dating back to ancient times, Georgia is one of the oldest Christian nations, having adopted Christianity in the early 4th century. It was home to powerful medieval kingdoms such as Colchis and Iberia and reached its golden age under Queen Tamar in the 12th century. The country's landscape is as rich as its history—marked by dramatic mountain ranges, deep valleys, lush vineyards, and a diverse mix of alpine and coastal environments that make it a unique and scenic destination.
