Island Ice are hermetically sealed ice trays containing Tasmanian spring water sourced from deep within the South West Wilderness Area. The only thing you have to do is put the prefilled trays into the freezer. If you open a tray of Island Ice you can be sure it's the first time that happened since the water left the clean room in which the tray has been filled.
You will not use Drink Ice to fill your cooler but hopefully Island ice will become a standard in bars and restaurants for mixed drinks and cocktails. It is always good to know where your ice is coming from and where it has been, after all ice is food.
Tasmania is the smallest state of the Commonwealth of Australia. It is an archipelago of more than 300 islands which lie to the south and is separated from the rest of Australia by the waters of Bass Strait. It is geographically located between latitudes 40 degrees and 44 degrees south.
Tasmania is a pristine place where the air masses roll in consistently from the oceanic west, bringing some of the world’s cleanest air, along with rain that is pure enough to bottle. The air in the north-west of the island is reportedly among the cleanest recorded in any populated place.
It is here that the pristine water for this innovative product is harvested and transported to the unique, technically advanced production facility, where it is hermetically sealed and ready for enjoyment the world over.
