We have selected Athens, Greece, to host the 2023 TASTE & DESIGN AWARDS in conjunction with the Fine Water Summit Premium Bottled Water Conference. Both events will happen simultaneously, so this is an excellent opportunity to participate in the water-tasting competition and the conference.
After winning multiple awards in 2021 and 2022, Theoni invited the world of Premium Bottled Water to Greece and makes Athens the center of the Premium Bottled Water Category by bringing the TASTE & DESIGN AWARDS and the Fine Water Summit Conference to Athens in April 2023.
Water is not just water. It has terroir, comes from a real place, holds experiences, and gives wellness. Water deserves attention, and the FineWaters International Water Tasting Competition will be conducted with a five-judge panel of professional and experienced international water sommeliers and experts.
STILL waters are separated into categories according to the Minerality (TDS – Total Dissolved Solids) starting at a SUPER LOW Category (<50mg/l), usually consisting of Iceberg, rain or glacial waters. The LOW Category (< 250mg/l) usually holds the most water from sources like springs and artesian. Waters with a higher Minerality are the MEDIUM Category (<800mg/l), HIGH Category (>800mg/l), and VERY HIGH Category (>1500 mg/l).

The waters in the NATURALLY CARBONATED Category are rare, and few people know there are waters with naturally occurring carbonation.
CURATED WATERS. This new category consists of waters from a natural source curated for new experiences.
With Fine Waters, the bottle design represents the brand and emotionally connects the consumer to the water's source. The bottle is an important aspect of a story told in PET, GLASS, ALUMINUM, TETRA, and Bag in a Box. Awards are given in each category for the design.
There is no entry fee for current members of the Fine Water Society, and members will be notified about shipping instructions. The fee for non-members is $ 900 per brand for three categories (still/sparkling/design). Non-members can use the form below to inquire about registration.
Point system:
Minimum points 90 and maximum points 100 with judges approved by the Fine Water Society.
Rating:
One number represents the overall taste and one represents the brand's design.
Awards
In each category Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards are given to the brands with the highest score.
Waters Qualified to Participate
Only natural, unprocessed waters, as defined by the Fine Water Society, are eligible. Participating brands need to be approved by the Fine Water Society.
We expect close to 1,000 bottles for the event, so please help us manage the load by following the instructions.
