A distinguishing feature of the Mountain Valley Spring company is its dedication to glass bottles and the low mineral content water that comes in them. The production and sale of this water dates back to the 1870's, and the company calls its product “America’s Premium Water.”
The bottling company owns 633 acres (256 hectares) of forest at the site of the spring, which is near Hot Springs National Park. Shale, sandstone and limestone impart trace elements and minerals such as calcium and magnesium during the water’s 3,500-year journey to the spring.
