Deep in the ancient Carpathian Mountains of Transylvania lies the Bucovan Spring, named after its owner Mr M. Bucovan. This remarkable spring, with a history dating back to Dacian times, was discovered by Mr. Bucovan while mining for marble. He quickly realized that the real treasure of the place was not the marble but the pristine water that flowed from the spring.
Renowned doctors, geologists, and hydrogeologists spent more than 20 years studying the unique properties of the Bucovan Spring.
The water contains 0,004 mg of gold and 0.034mg of silver per liter.
The Bucovan Spring is a natural wonder and a gift to the community. Located in a national park and declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, it is a source of pride for the region. In collaboration with the owner and mayor, Vasile Bors, the spring has been open to the public free of charge since 2016 as 'The Golden Spring', with the town hall standing proudly nearby as a symbol of its importance to the community.
At an altitude of 800m and a constant temperature of 14ºC, the Bucovan Spring is more than just a source of water. It is a source of inspiration and awe, a reminder of the power and beauty of nature.
