APSU was founded by three entrepreneurs from the Magallanes Region of Chile in 2011. The idea was to develop a mobile, nomadic system to harvest and bottle water from pristine sources from the heart of Patagonia. This innovation was necessary to find sources unattainable by standard bottling procedures and share those extraordinary waters with a global market.

The mission of the company focuses on three areas. One, harvesting extraordinary and exclusive waters artisanal in small volume production. Two, doing this in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way to leave no trace during the process. Three, raise funds to support environmental and social projects in the Magallanes Region.

The source for APSU is Glacier water from the Gran Campo Nevado in Subantarctic Chilean Patagonia. The glacier creates various creeks, flowing into the pacific ocean, specifically into the Skyring Sound. With their mobile system, they select remote flows and harvest water from free-flowing sources of the glacier water before it disappears in the Pacific Ocean.
