Manantiales Sureños is water from an artesian well from the Guaraní Aquifer. Manantiales Sureños was founded by the Paraguayan Lauro Norberto Lautenschlager in 2009. After discovering an artesian well, they were surprised by water with different characteristics from those that are commonly known.
Samples sent to specialists from Paraguay, and Argentina for analysis revealed natural mineral water with a high alkalinity content from the aquifer more than 600ft (186m) below the surface.
The work of establishing a bottling plant began with importing equipment from Italy. The water is bottled at the source with state-of-the-art equipment. The water is unprocessed and in its natural state when bottled.
